When I worked at newspapers, I lived for the chance to report or edit stories about the unexpected or bizarre. It didn’t matter if it was something that had happened down the block or around the world, as long as I thought the story would make someone turn to their spouse or friend and say, “Hey, listen to this.”
If you enjoy stories like that, you’ll like reading my editor’s journal. I’ll write about other topics as they come up, but for the most part, it’s about to get strange around here.
