Was he the King of Pop, or poplar?
A family in Stockton, Calif., may be wondering, after they say the image of Michael Jackson showed up on a tree stump in their front yard the day he died.
While Felix Garcia’s family pines for the performer, they’re budding with excitement over the tree. And maybe they aren’t going too far out on a limb — people seem to have a knack for spotting the unexplained in the mundane, from the Virgin Mary in salsa to Jesus in cheese.
One neighbor said the sighting of the juniper Jackson isn’t a surprise, considering the many fans the icon had in town. Let’s hope the family has plenty of other neighbors who don’t think they’re completely out of their tree.
And before anyone starts barking about the facts, the stump is actually birch.
