Great. Just what we need. More pot heads. Had someone nearly kill me and a friend more than once because he couldn't leave the stuff alone. Couldn't keep his head clear enough, long enough to not make a deadly mistake. Fortunately, we caught his mistake before it hurt anyone, namely us.

I've watched numerous friends throw their lives away on pot or seeking a higher high, on coke, meth or heroine. The pot proponents never mention how most people who suffer from substance abuse start out on pot and move on to deadlier, ever more addictive substances.

I grew up here in Colorado watching many, many lives be destroyed by pot, both in terms of using and distributing. Every person I knew who started out using or selling pot ended up using or selling cocaine. Every one. Those who sold inevitably ended up in county jail or in prison. That's a nice normal life. Quite a few ended up ODing on something far, far worse.

Ask a cop if they'd rather see high or drunk drivers. Killing someone because you're driving high is a great way to a normal life. Pot impairs judgment just as bad or, in my experience, worse than alcohol. Let's lose a few drunk drivers and gain a whole bunch of high ones. Yeah, great idea.

Smoking pot doesn't hurt you? Show me one person who is successful in life who regularly smokes pot. Just one. People I knew who smoked pot were unhappy losers and stayed that way until they stopped. Nothing good comes from smoking pot. Period. Nothing.
