Rockies shake up lineup

The Colorado Rockies dropped Clint Barmes to No. 8 in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the New York Mets. Barmes, who homered Monday, is just 2-for-22 in his past five games and his batting average has dropped from .284 to .262 since July 8.
Seth Smith, who is back in the starting lineup Tuesday after sitting out against left-hander Oliver Perez, moves up to No. 2 in the lineup.
