Crime doesn’t pay: Busted by burglars

Maybe there’s some honor among thieves after all.
A British man has been convicted on child-pornography charges after being turned in — by burglars.
Two thieves found pornographic images on a laptop computer they had stolen from Richard Coverdale, 24, of Redcar, England, a seaside resort. They were so disturbed by what they saw that they tipped off police, taking the risk that they would be locked up in the burglary.
Nearly 80 illegal photos and videos were found on the computer. Authorities say that Coverdale also invented a 14-year-old character so he could expose himself to a teenage girl over the Internet.
Now he really has to worry about locks — he’s serving three and a half years behind bars.
