The Colorado Rockies, who were shut out 7-0 by a pitcher the Phillies are considering sending to the bullpen when Pedro Martinez is activated, fell a half game behind the San Francisco Giants in the National League wild-card standings. But thanks to a handful of other key losses in the National League on Wednesday, little else changed in the standings:

The Dodgers lost to Milwaukee 4-1, allowing the Rockies to stay 6 1/2 games back in the NL West while the Giants leapt to six back.

Both Chicago and St. Louis, who are tied at the top of the National League Central, lost. The Cubs lost to the Reds 4-0, and the Cardinals lost to the Mets 9-0. Both teams are two games behind the Giants and 1 1/2 games behind the Rockies in the wild card.

The Florida Marlins missed a chance to gain some ground on the rest of the wild-card field by losing to the Nationals 5-4.
