Status of Buffs transfer Simmons unknown

While Colorado is providing few details as to why, there is still no word on the status of juco wide receiver Andre Simmons, who is being counted on to boslter the wide-receiving corps but who apparently has not been officially admitted to CU. Last week it was announced that Simmons’ enrollment was no longer being held up by the arrival of his juco transcripts, but, as of Sunday, Simmons was still missing. At CU’s media day two weeks ago, Hawkins said Simmons was “unofficially, officially” a part of the team. With classes starting Monday, the Simmons situation is facing an official deadline.
